This has now made it right to the top of my wishlist. Too pricey to pre-order but worth keeping an eye out for .

I used to walk around with a lion tooth hanging around my neck, now I walk around with a usb stick around my neck.
So 2013 is here, this year is reminiscent of 2000 and 2007 where I spent both NYEs in front of a computer working and 2001-2005 where I spent my NYEs at work because double pay per hour was more way more important in the student days. If 2000 wasn’t a big deal, I am happy to watch out my window and see the fireworks from my room for 2013.
It has always been great fun to head out, get drunk, wear my once a year NY shirt and spend the night away at a bar with friends, but this year I decided to stay at home and focus on the important things in life. It was also a relief to not do what you are expected to do, to not cave into pressure and focus on yourself.
When you spend NYE indoors working, you feel that NYE is a scam, you end up in the city with no room to move, you are expected to do crazy things and you get overcharged entry fees and drinks. Its a fun scam but scam none the less
I have been religiously putting my resolutions and trying to finish them every year except the last two years where I have been too focused on getting my company up and running. This year I am getting back on track to be ready and able from the first minute of 2013 till the last minute of 2013, to wake up on the first day of the year and not to have a headache but a clear vision.
Welcome and Happy 2013! May this be your best year to date but not as good as 2014
Ok so I have been planning on doing this for a very long time but never had the time to commit. Also now that I am growing out of painting/having fish/creating a herb garden/arduino, I have decided to take this project on board.
I will commit a few minutes of my time every day writing code for what will be called as a babAI, which will scan social media and will act as a baby AI which will learn to
- recognize emotions
- learn to respond to emotions
- do a weighed average of different emotions in a status
- calculate re-ocurrence of emotions and try and understand why
- associate emotions with actions
- try and copy emotions
- learn and improve by itself
Obviously this will take a lot of time and hours of coding, so I am keen to get people who are interested on board to work with me on the project. Please bookmark babAI.com.au for further updates.
Samsung, we had a great time but might have to let you go soon.
Just updated my original Galaxy tab with CM9 nightly with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 and finally the Tablet feels like a real tablet.
Loving Ice Cream Sandwich on the Tablet.
Here is how to flash the nightly build to your Galaxy Tab P1000T (Mine is Telstra 3G)
I have realised that the only way I can finish all the work I have and then also have time for my hobbies now is to cut down on my sleep.
As of today I am testing polyphasic sleep. Polyphasic sleep is essentially sleeping multiple times during the day in defined intervals as to get just the REM stage of the sleep (which is the most important part of the human sleep)
The extreme polyphasic sleep is where you train your body to sleep 20 minutes every 4 hours during the day (getting roughly 2 hours of sleep per day) and saving 6 hours of sleep. Your body over time trains to go into REM straight away and get the required rest for the body.
I am not sold on that so I am cutting it down slowly. I am starting at 4.5 hours of sleep during night and 2-3 20 min sleep during the day. If that works out, I might go to 3 hours of main sleep and 3-4 20 minute sleep during the day.
I will update this blog weekly with updates.
Update: I was not disciplined enough to run with Polyphasic for a while and gave up after a while, however few months ago I did biphasic for a couple of months and that was really productive, will update around August on how I ran with that.
